3 Things to Remember Before The New Year

Hello, my loves! I know it has been a long time since I have written on my blog. Yes, life got hectic and time got carried away. A lot has happened in my life over the past few months, even years. Regardless, I am forever grateful for all the things that I have experienced for they have revealed the capability of my own strength. Here we are at the start of a new year. It is that time of the year again when everyone is so eager for new beginnings, gym memberships are being obtained and the lists of resolutions continue to pile up. That time of year when everyone wanted something new or better. Before every new year, It is essential to reflect on the ended year and ask yourself a couple of questions:
What did I achieve?
What was I unable to achieve?
What do I plan to do differently next year?
Reflection and Evaluation.
It is important to reflect and evaluate on the ended year to have an understanding of your current position. I usually ask myself what went wrong during the year and what was learned from the experiences. It is kind of pointless at the moment to ask why things went wrong because:
1) It already happened.
2) You cannot go back and make things “right”.
3) Every experience is a learning experience.
Understand that if it happened, it happened. Regardless of whether you caused it or not. In a weird way, whatever that went wrong was meant to happen. Figuring out what you’ve learned is the first step in realizing how much you have grown this past year.
Obtain your Unobtainable.
I once read a book titled fail, fail again, fail better. This books helped me to understand the way I viewed my failures and recognize that they are not losses, but rather, learning experiences. During the new year, we usually set goals to achieve within the following year. Sometimes we achieve those goals and other times we are unable to for whatever reasons. In the process, we will find that things usually do not go the way we planned. Sometimes these occurrences will hinder our thought process and ability to move forward. Understand that:
1) Some goals will take more than a year to accomplish.
2) You are running your own race.
3) If it did not work, try again. If it still does not work, try a new approach. Whatever you do, Do not give up on your dreams and goal.
Start a New.
You can take your lessons and implement them to your future goals to create positive results. Always remember that you have the ability to create the life you want, once you start believing this, wonderful things will start to happen. So if for any reasons your past mistakes or challenges have caused you to develop lack of motivation, an unclear vision of progress, inability to focus or the unworthiness of success, it is time to leave those negative thought in the past and start a new. I believe in you,
Here it to new beginnings…
With love,
