Finding Purpose Along the Way

Ever feel like you’ve been trying to get to a destination and it feel like you just keep going round and round in circles? Yes, have a seat at the Merry-go-round table. It’s okay.
It took me a while to accept this feeling that I’ve possessed for a while but I finally came to a halt and acknowledged that I felt what I felt and It was okay to feel. No matter who you are, moments like these are inevitable. Every one of us will undergo loss of purpose at some point in our lives.
Half of us spend our whole lives trying to find our purpose and the other half of us settles for mediocre. You are more than mediocre.
You ever ask yourself what it is that you are doing wrong? It seems like everybody is moving at full speed and your standing still fading into the mist while you are watch everything blur away. I get this feeling sometimes and I know that I am not alone. I’ve come to the realization that it is okay to feel lost and without purpose. However, what is not okay it to wallow and sit still. Yes, stop and smell the roses but you get back in your car and drive.
You cannot talk about your destination without stories from your journey. Life is about living and finding your purpose and even when you feel like you haven’t found your purpose, you keep living because you never know who you are inspiring on your journey.
I was in the gym locker room getting ready to head home and a girl stops me in my tracks. She asked if my name was Maureen. I was shocked and bewildered because I had never seen this girl before in my life but she knows my name. She said to me “I saw your fitness post on your Instagram page. I think it was so inspiring” I was surprised. I had about 50 followers on my fitness Instagram page and it decreased rapidly when I did not remember to check it. I posted fitness tips and words of encouragement because it is what I love to do. In all honesty, I wasn’t certain that anyone cared, I just had faith that my word would help someone. In reality, someone was. My post inspired somebody, just one person. Sometimes that is all it takes. One person.

Not everyone is going to tell you that they appreciate you or the work that you do. That is okay. Do what you love to do with love and enthusiasm and someday, just someday, you will find your way.
If you don’t know what you love to do, try something new every day. You are bound to find something you like eventually.
Personally, I don’t know if I want to be a blogger, a YouTuber, a writer or all of the above. I do know that want to find my way and I have to do that by living.
With that being said, I want to point out to the boy or girl who feels stuck, to the person who feels like they are sitting on the sideline watching life pass them by or to the person who it is taking so long to cross the finish line… I say this to you with love…. keep traveling, my love.
With love
